The internet has made many, many wonderful things possible. Yay technology. One of these things is a concept we call crowd sourcing or crowd sharing, etc. Robust user-friendly templates allow users all over the world to begin a fundraising campaign literally in minutes. Let me show you exactly what I mean. Sharon Sullivan is a professor in Washburn's Theatre department. She has a passion for helping empower all kinds of people. One of her heart causes happens to be families who have found themselves battling domestic violence. She has a goal to reach $1,000 for her cause through a website called CrowdRise. Others exist such as GoFundMe, etc. She set up her page and then reached out to her friends through email and Facebook.
