TULSI GABBARD DEBATES

So far in the 2020 Democratic primary debates, most of the candidates have failed to stand out from the others. An exception of this is Tulsi Gabbard. At each debate Gabbard has participated in, she became the most googled candidate when the debate is over. She constantly stands apart from the other candidates in these debates. One of the main reasons is her anti-establishment views and her policies that the other candidates fail to properly debate. One of the first reasons that had the country googling Tulsi Gabbard happened in the first democratic debate.

The DNC clearly favors Kamala Harris as a candidate. This is shown through the endorsement by Hillary Clinton. At the time of the first debate, Harris was rising in the poles and was considered a top candidate. Gabbard attacked Kamala’s prosecution record when she was working as the Attorney General of California. At this point in the race, attacking a top tier candidate like Harris was a big risk for Gabbard. Tulsi attacked Harris for prosecuting 1500 people for marijuana violations and then laughing when asked if she ever smoked. She also attacked her for hiding evidence that would release prisoners from death row so they could continue to work for the prison. Both of these attacks are true and there is evidence to prove it. Harris knew this and had nothing to defend herself with. Instead Kamal resorted to smears against Gabbard. Her only response is that she expected this from a 1 percent candidate. The irony of this situation is that Gabbard is now polling higher in many poles than Harris is.
