This blog will be a shared blog, and we will all share our thoughts as those who comment and those who post. I'm Regina Cassell, and I will be the leader of this expedition. About Me: My family sold our home of 15 years and moved a mile away to our new home on College Avenue. It was quite the adventure, and I have not fully recovered. I was still clinging to my 20s the last time we moved. I’ve been at Washburn since July 2000. My husband, Gene, is the sports information director at Washburn, and we have two boys, Jacob, 13, and Jared, 11. I’m a busy wife and mom. I have taught as a lecturer in the mass media department since the fall of 2003, and I am also the director of Student Media at Washburn. The Student Media staff keeps washburnreview.org updated with new content all year long along with producing three Bod Magazines, 26 weekly issues
The internet has made many, many wonderful things possible. Yay technology. One of these things is a concept we call crowd sourcing or crowd sharing, etc. Robust user-friendly templates allow users all over the world to begin a fundraising campaign literally in minutes. Let me show you exactly what I mean. Sharon Sullivan is a professor in Washburn's Theatre department. She has a passion for helping empower all kinds of people. WELCOME TO MY FIRST BLOG! photo by Darrin Hartford Darrin Does It I'm very excited to start my new blog and be able to share my vast wealth of information on not only automotive stuff, but household repairs including DIY Pinterest type projects as well. I definitely have a knack for fixing things, and I hate to say it, but sometimes I like to keep that a secret. A good handyman should have no problem keeping themselves busy. I have been taking things apart as soon as I was able to hold a screwdriver. For a while I could only successfully take things apart but, as the years went on, I was able to reassemble the things I had taken apart, much to the joy of my mother. For whatever reason, she did not enjoy seeing her hair dryer, toaster, TV, microwave, vacuum cleaner...etc. torn apart. :) As the years went on, I eventually landed a position in the automotive business as a technician. I began my career at the former Gregg Tire, located in downtown Topeka
